Five people have served as Dean of the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Allied Health Professions since its establishment in 1970. The names of the former and present Deans, and their period of deanship follows:

          John Lawrence Peterson, Ph.D. (1970 -1975)

          Stanley H. Abadie, Ph.D. (1975 -1994)

          John D. Dolan, Rh.D. (Acting) (1995 -1996)

          John R. Snyder, Ph.D. (1996 - 2003)

          J.M. Cairo, Ph.D. (2003 - Present)
