Dennis Driver

Dennis Driver, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC, FAAOMPT

Assistant Professor

Dr. Driver received his AAS as Physical Therapy Assistant from Kellogg Community College in 1986, and earned a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in Human Biology from Indiana University in 1991. In 1994, he received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy as an Honors Scholar from the University of Connecticut and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine (FL) in 2002. In addition, Dr. Driver has multiple postgraduate clinical certifications including Manual Therapy Certification from The University of St. Augustine (1997), Orthopedic Clinical Certification from The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty Examiners (2000) and he has been granted a Fellow by the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (2007).

For the past 22 years, Dr. Driver has worked in a variety of outpatient clinical and hospital settings with a primary focus in Orthopedic, Sports Medicine and Occupational Health clients. Recently, he spent 11 years as a Regional Manager in charge of the rehabilitation business development and operations of a multistate network of clinics within a national health care organization. In addition, Dr. Driver has provided external consulting in relation to orthopedic clinical skill development, business management and practice acquisition.

Dr. Driver joined the faculty at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in July 2008. His primary teaching responsibilities include coordinating the Diagnosis and Management of Musculoskeletal Disorders I/II and Administration I/II portions of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
