Kevin
Brueilly, Ph.D., P.T.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Brueilly received his B.A. in Physical
Education and Health education from Cedarville University of
Ohio in 1984, and earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree
from the University of St. Augustine (Florida) in 1996.
After spending several years as a staff physical therapist and
inpatient rehabilitative services team leader at the Mayo Clinic
Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Brueilly joined the faculty at
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he taught in
the entry-level Master of Physical Therapy program from
2004-2008. He received a PhD from Texas Tech University in
Lubbock, TX in the field of Consumer Science Education, with
research focused in educational methodology and learning
outcomes.
Dr. Brueilly has also has had the privilege of serving a three
year appointment as a member of the Examination Development
Committee for the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy
Examiners (2007-2009), where he assumes the role of designing
the National Physical Therapists Exam for licensure of physical
therapists. Professionally, Dr. Brueilly has also served as
District Chair and Chairman of Professional Education for the
local districts of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Brueilly joined the faculty at the Louisiana State
University Health Sciences Center in May 2008. His teaching
responsibilities include coordinating the Evidence Based
Practice portions of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, as
well as assisting in teaching hospital based practice. In
addition, Dr. Brueilly will be involved in ongoing research
involving educational methodology and learning outcomes.
