PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

Teaching about Speech-Language Pathology is my passion. I love being a speech language pathologist and hope to spread my enthusiasm to the future generation. In teaching, I believe learning is optimal when we, as teachers, are flexible in our teaching styles to include multimodalities of instruction to appreciate that all students learn differently. In addition, I believe we should set forth the example that learning is life-long and that collaboration with other professionals is crucial for the mastery of new skills within different contexts. I believe that effective communication in the classroom and within the clinical experience is a key factor for a person to develop to their full potential.
