The Mission of the LSUHSC-New Orleans Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program is to recruit and educate individuals of the highest quality from diverse backgrounds to provide evidence-based, patient-centered healthcare with compassion to the people of Louisiana.

The LSUHSC-NO Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program will be a leader in the education of competent, compassionate, health care providers providing access to care for the people of Louisiana.
Program Goals
- Recruit highly qualified applicants for enrollment as students in the LSUHSC-NO program
Measured by: applicant demographics and prerequisite data submitted through CASPA
- Obtain accreditation- continuing status, develop and maintain a standard of excellence for the program.
Measured by: achievement and maintenance of accreditation - continuing per ARC-PA
- Develop and maintain a curriculum that promotes a 90% or better graduation rate for students entering the LSUHSC-NO PA Program.
Measured by: graduation rate per cohort
- Develop and maintain a curriculum that produces a PANCE first-time pass rate above the national average.
Measured by: assessment of first time PANCE rates against national data
