Rehabilitation Counselors...

"The demand for counselors already exceeds the supply by at least 25 percent, and the number of people needing rehabilitation services will rise as advances in medical technology save more lives.  Legislation requiring equal-employment rights for persons with disabilities will also spur demand for counselors.”

             -- U.S. News & World Report,

                  America’s Best Graduate Schools,

                  “What’s Hot and What’s Not

The Rehabilitation Counseling department's accreditation was renewed in the Fall of 1998 by The Council on Rehabilitation Education.  The Period of Recognition lasts from the Fall of 1998 through Summer 2006.  This accreditation indicates ". . . that the program complies with the educational standards established and evaluated by the Commission on Standards and Accreditation for masters' degree programs in Rehabilitation Counselor Education. Further, the Commission has deemed this Program able to maintain and enhance its level of compliance through the duration of the recognition."
