I am passionate about advancing the field of speech-language pathology through research focused on evidence-based interventions and communication development across diverse populations. My research interests include language acquisition and disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and the impact of neurodiversity on communication. Additionally, I have participated in collaborative research efforts that lie at the intersection of public health, speech-language pathology, and systems change, with a focus on enhancing community participation and access to resources and services.

I am passionate about individuals reaching their full potential and seeing communities thrive. Provide evaluation and treatment to early childhood, preschool and school-aged children with developmental language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and children with comorbid developmental disorders such as intellectual disability, ADHD, anxiety, and social communication disorder; provide much needed clinical services across the life span to clients with complex communication needs by completing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluations, intervention and coaching to communication partners; serve as the speech-language pathologist on the interdisciplinary team at the Human Development Center (HDC) for the Autism Spectrum Disorder Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Clinic (ASDID). This clinic provides training opportunities for interdisciplinary professionals (pediatric medical residents, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, psychologists) in accurate diagnosis of autism and development of functional recommendations for families; Provide clinical education, supervision, and mentorship to beginning and advanced graduate clinical practicum students in the LSUHSC Speech-Language Clinic.
