Dr. Jill Douglass is a speech-language pathologist whose scholarship centers on stuttering, especially covert stuttering, and counseling in clinician preparation. Her clinical work in Aotearoa (New Zealand) with the Ministry of Education, working with Māori learners and whānau (families), informs a culturally responsive lens to working with clients. She links research on lived experience of people who stutter to practical improvements in therapy and education. Her clinical and academic work is holistic, integrating evidence, culture, and person-centered care
