School Committees

 

Committees can serve the School or the Health Sciences Center. Committee members can be nominated by department heads and are appointed by the President of the Faculty Assembly and the Dean.

Appointed committee chairs will call, schedule days and times for meetings based on member availability and work to be accomplished.  At the first meeting, the committee should review its charge and plan for activities to accomplish this charge over this coming year.

The role of each committee member is to represent his/her department and participate in activities/decisions on behalf of the School.  Consequently, it is important that committee members regularly share with faculty in their departments the deliberations of the committee and solicit departmental input to inform committee decisions.
