Biography

Dr. Miller Reed joined LSU in 2024. She enjoys teaching a variety of counseling courses. Dr. Miller Reed served as the 2023-24 President for the Louisiana Counseling Association. She has also served in other local and national positions. She earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from University of Holy Cross in 2016. Her recent research interests include researcher trauma, ethical issues in counseling, and interprofessional collaboration.

Dr. Miller Reed has over 14 years of clinical experience working with clients in schools, home-based settings, and private practice. She holds credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana, Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in Louisiana and Indiana, and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also a board approved supervisor for Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPC’s) in Louisiana. She is currently under mentorship for providing board approved supervision for Provisionally Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (PLMFTs). She is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) for couple and individuals. She is also certified in Discernment Counseling, a service for couples on the brink. In her personal life, she enjoys museums, reading, and road trips.
