Clinical Mental Health Certificate

This graduate-level certificate is designed to provide the specialized coursework needed to pursue the  National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential through the NBCC.
 
The program offers targeted training in key clinical areas such as diagnosis and treatment, trauma and abuse counseling, addictions counseling, family and couples counseling, and advanced clinical skills. These courses align with the required content areas identified by the NBCC for NCC eligibility and help professionals build the advanced competencies expected of clinical mental health counselors. LSUHSC’s program will also offer the clinical training required for certification. 
 
Designed for working professionals and graduates in counseling-related fields, this certificate provides a flexible pathway to complete the pre-requisite coursework needed to apply for NCC certification, helping you strengthen your clinical knowledge while progressing toward national recognition as a clinical mental health counselor.
