Dana Abisamra, M.S., B.S. received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012 from Mississippi State University and her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2014 from the University of Mississippi Medial Center. She is currently pursuing a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LSU Health Sciences Center—New Orleans. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), Association for Play Therapy (APT), and Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society. Dana intends to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) following graduation. Her focus at LSUHSC Child and Family Counseling Clinic include individual play therapy, group play therapy, and filial therapy.
