Julia Davis is currently pursuing a Master of Health Sciences in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Counseling at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.  Julia received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Miami in 2011.  Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Julia worked with various non-profit organizations in Washington D.C. and New Orleans, most recently as the Director of Pre-Service Experience at Teach For America-Greater New Orleans.  There she supported all incoming corps members with their matriculation into the corps, relocation to New Orleans, and hiring at a school site.  This work sparked her interest in counseling, and she plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana upon graduating.  She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Louisiana Counseling association, and Chi Sigma Iota National Honor Society.  She lives in New Orleans with her husband and dog.
