  • Camp Pelican (www.camppelican.org) is a week-long summer camp program for children with pulmonary disorders aged 5 to 15 years. Children with cystic fibrosis, severe and chronic asthma, chronic lung diseases, and children who are ventilator-dependent gather at the Louisiana Lions Camp in Leesville, LA for a wide variety of activities, including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and other entertaining and educational events. A number of LSUHSC students in respiratory therapy attend the camp each year to help the children and find it to be a memorable and rewarding experience.
