Cardiopulmonary Science Transfer Credit Policy

The respiratory therapy and cardiovascular sonography programs will accept transfer of coursework taken by an applicant in any other accredited college or university.

The courses for which students receive transfer credit are the prerequisite courses listed below that are required for admission into either program. As many as 60 credit hours may be accepted for credit toward graduation from students who receive a grade of 'C' or better in said courses. In addition, courses may be accepted for credit if the applicant already holds a credential in the associated field (e.g., registered respiratory therapist, registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer). Similar courses in each program associated with the held credential may then not be required for graduation.

The Department of Cardiopulmonary Science will perform a comprehensive examination of the transfer credit, which must be approved prior to being applied to credit hours.
