VENTILATOR SET-UP AND MONITORING
Students practice placing patients on breathing machines (ventilators) and assessing the patient's work of breathing, breathing synchrony with the ventilator, lung and airway mechanics, and oxygenation. Students then recommend and adjust ventilator settings to increase or decrease ventilatory support.
