VENTILATOR-PATIENT TROUBLESHOOTING
Ventilator alarms are set by respiratory therapists to alert them to potential problems with ventilating their patients. Students train to recognize, troubleshoot, and correct ventilator-patient problems. After completing a simulated scenario, students are debriefed by faculty on their performance and proper management of the problem is discussed.
