OT Prospective Students

The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree is designed as an entry level clinical master degree program for students who possess a baccalaureate degree and prerequisite course work.

The LSUHSC Department of Occupational Therapy MOT degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4249. ACOTE’s telephone number is 601-652-6611. For additional information related to the program’s accreditation status, click here.

For individuals interested in applying for admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, we are unable to accommodate the numerous requests for one-on-one tours or meetings. To assist those that would like to visit the campus and ask questions in person, we offer group Information Sessions primarily on the first Friday of the month at 1:00 p.m., January through June, as well as October and November. A session may be shifted to the second Friday to accommodate holidays. The 2023 dates are January 6, February 3, March 3, April 14, May 5, June 2, October 6, and November 3. Meetings are held in the OT Department, 1900 Gravier Street, Room 8A12. Those interested are asked to contact the OT Department at (504) 568-4302 or to let us know that they are planning on coming.
