PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree is designed as an entry level clinical master’s degree program for students who possess a baccalaureate degree and prerequisite course work. It is a 91-credit hour program beginning in the spring semester. Our curriculum spans 7 semesters for full-time students. Projected Changes to the Educational Program in 2026 All Master of Occupational Therapy programs have been mandated by the accrediting body, ACOTE, to reduce the length of the curriculum. The faculty are excited about this change and believe students will continue to have excellent preparation as clinicians but in a more efficient timeframe. The cohort that begins in January of 2026 will graduate 23 months later, in December of 2027. The planned curriculum will consist of 81 credit hours over 6 semesters; included in these semester hours are 24 weeks of Level II Fieldwork. Details of the planned curriculum will be added to our website soon. INFORMATION SESSIONS For individuals interested in applying for admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, we offer group Information Sessions. An OT faculty member will facilitate a one-hour session on the first Friday of January through June, October, and November. Information sessions begin promptly at 1:00 PM CST. The 2024 dates are as follows: January 5, February 2, March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7, October 4, and November 1.
