PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

OT Prospective Students

The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree is designed as an entry level clinical master degree program for students who possess a baccalaureate degree and prerequisite course work.

The LSUHSC Department of Occupational Therapy MOT degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4249. INFORMATION SESSIONS

For individuals interested in applying for admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, we are unable to accommodate one-on-one tours or meetings, but offer group Information Sessions. These are from 1:00 – 2:00, on the first Friday of the month January through June, as well as October and November.

The 2023 dates are as follows: January 6, February 3, March 3, April 14, May 5, June 2, October 6, and November 3.

Meetings are held in the OT Department, 1900 Gravier Street, Room 8A12 and there is also a Zoom option. Interested persons are asked to contact the OT Department at  OTNO@lsuhsc.edu to let us know that you are planning on coming.

2023 APPLICANT INTERVIEW DATES

The interview dates for persons applying for admission to the class starting January of 2024, will be Thurs. Aug. 10 and Fri. Aug. 11, 2023. Applying to the program does not guarantee an invitation to interview. See Admissions Guidebook below for more information.
