Mission
The mission of the Faculty Assembly is to promote communication between the Faculty and Administration and provide a formal mechanism for input into academic processes.
School of Health Professions Faculty Assembly President’s Message
Welcome to the School of Health Professions (SHP) Faculty Assembly website. The Faculty
Assembly is composed of nine delegates representing the diverse academic and clinical
programs within the School of Health Professions. Elected by SHP faculty, the Delegates
serve as a collective voice on behalf of faculty by working collaboratively with school
leadership and administration. To support this mission, the Delegates meet monthly
on the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. in a hybrid format, with
guests encouraged to attend meetings in person. Faculty Assembly Delegate meetings
are open to all SHP faculty, and approved meeting minutes are posted on this website.
I am honored and excited to serve as President of the SHP Faculty Assembly and to
work alongside our dedicated faculty, delegates, and school leadership in advancing
the mission of the School of Health Professions. This year, the Faculty Assembly looks
forward to fostering open communication and collaboration between faculty and administration,
supporting faculty success and professional growth, and providing meaningful opportunities
for engagement across departments and programs. We encourage all SHP faculty members
to share their perspectives, participate in Assembly activities, and connect with
their delegates as we work together to address opportunities, celebrate achievements,
and strengthen our school community. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and
look forward to helping ensure that faculty voices remain informed, heard, and represented.
Outside of monthly Delegates' meetings, Faculty are encouraged to attend the Faculty
Assembly general meetings, held twice yearly. Meetings for the 2026-2027 academic
year are scheduled for October 1 (12 -1 PM) and April 1 (12 - 1 PM) in HDC Room 335.
