Philosophy of Education:

As a physical therapist educator, considerations for students’ background and lived experiences are important to promote engagement, learning, and development in the students’ new learning communities. I encourage all students to be active contributors to the construction of knowledge in all class sessions. When students are actively discovering and building new knowledge, they will likely reach higher levels of learning and development.  I view the classroom as one that extends beyond the program and encompasses spaces to support students to achieve successes in the classroom, career, and life.
