Student Organization Event & Fundraiser Requests
The School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) encourages student organizations and class officers to host events and fundraising activities that support student engagement, professional development, community service, and the mission of LSU Health New Orleans.
All events and fundraisers must receive approval before they are advertised, promoted, or conducted.
Event Requests
Student organizations seeking approval for an event should submit an Event Request Form at least 4 weeks prior to the proposed event date.
Information required includes:
- Organization name
- Student requestor name and LSUHSC email
- Faculty advisor name and email
- Event title, date, time, and location
- Event purpose and description
- Expected attendance
- Audience type (students, faculty, staff, alumni, guests, etc.)
- Food, beverage, or catering needs
- Estimated event expenses
- Audio/visual or facility support needs
- Funding requests, if applicable
Event requests are reviewed for alignment with institutional policies, student development goals, fiscal responsibility, and logistical feasibility.
Fundraiser Requests
Student organizations and class officers seeking to conduct a fundraiser must submit a Fundraiser Request Form at least 4 weeks prior to the proposed fundraising activity.
Fundraiser requests should include:
- Organization or class name
- Student requestor name and LSUHSC email
- Faculty advisor name and email
- Description of the fundraising activity
- Date and location of the fundraiser
- Expected participation
- How the fundraiser supports the mission and objectives of the organization
- Description of any items being sold or promoted
- Compliance with university financial procedures and cash-handling requirements
- Identification of any potential participant risks
- Marketing materials or advertisements, if applicable
Student Organization and Class Officer Fundraising Support
Approved fundraisers conducted by recognized student organizations or class officers may be eligible for promotion through Student Government Association (SGA) communication channels and sponsorship opportunities, when available. Sponsorship and promotional support are subject to review and approval by the appropriate student leadership and administrative offices.
Approval and Notification
All submissions are reviewed by the appropriate SAHP administrative offices. Requests may also undergo fiscal review when funding, fundraising, or cash handling is involved.
Organizations and faculty advisors will receive written notification once the review process is complete. Activities may not be advertised, promoted, collect funds, or occur until written approval has been granted.
