SAHP Student Travel Reimbursement Award Program
The School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) Student Travel Award Program provides up to $1,200 in reimbursement to support students who represent LSU Health New Orleans through research presentations, professional conferences, and leadership activities. The award is designed to promote scholarly engagement, professional development, and opportunities that enhance students' academic and career success.
Eligible students must be currently enrolled in an SAHP program and in good academic standing. Awards may be used to offset allowable travel expenses associated with presenting research as a primary author or serving in an official leadership role representing a recognized LSUHSC student organization. Funding is competitive and subject to the availability of funds.
To be considered, applicants must complete the Travel Award application which will require the following materials:
- Abstract or description of the presentation, conference activity, or leadership role
- Faculty Advisor or Department Chair Support Letter
- Proof of Acceptance (conference acceptance letter, invitation, or registration confirmation)
Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding, and all travel must comply with LSUHSC travel policies and procedures.
